November 28, 2017

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Palo Alto Networks® (NYSE: PANW), the next-generation security company, announced today that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Networking Competency status. To receive the designation, APN Partners must possess deep AWS expertise and deliver solutions seamlessly on AWS.

"The Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform provides customers with the ability to prevent successful cyberattacks regardless of where data resides – on the cloud, within the network or on endpoints," Adam Geller, vice president, Product Management at Palo Alto Networks. "Customers can grow and scale their AWS environments with peace of mind that they're gaining improved efficiency and automation while also enhancing their cybersecurity posture within the cloud."

AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Partner Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.

The Palo Alto Networks VM-Series Next-Generation Firewall for AWS provides customers with the granular visibility and control required to protect applications and data on AWS. When implemented as part of the Next-Generation Security Platform, customers can achieve consistent security on the endpoint, across the network and in the cloud.

"By deploying the Palo Alto Networks VM-Series on AWS, we have gained deeper visibility into our network traffic, so we can stop global bad actors from breaching our network in the first place," said Tom Fink, vice president, Technology Services at Verge Health. "We chose Palo Alto Networks because we wanted a platform that could best meet our dynamic growth, while providing us with the most comprehensive and easiest-to-manage approach for identifying and blocking cyberthreats in the cloud. Palo Alto Networks checks all of those boxes."
